Raku Tea Bowl

Raku Tea Bowl

Wheel thrown RAKU bowl with a turned foot, hand made by ceramicist Janie Kidston. RAKU is a low firing method originally from Japan that involves removing the pottery from the kiln whilst at bright red heat and placing it in containers with combustible materials.

We recommend placing a metal pin holder or flower frog inside the bowl; these simple tools are the perfect aid for arranging wild flowers, delicate stems and grasses. The use of the frogs allow us to celebrate the space between each flower as much as the flower itself, playing to the JamJar aesthetic of simple and unadorned.

Dimensions: H 10cm x W 13cm

Please note: RAKU pottery is not food safe.

Metal pin holder included.
